Verdugo Hills High School is located in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains adjacent to the Angeles National Forest at the northern end of the City of Los Angeles. The campus lies about 14 aerial miles (22.4 km) NNW of L.A.'s downtown Civic Center, about 21 miles (33.6 km) NE of the Pacific Ocean, Santa Monica Bay and Malibu, and about 19 miles (30.4 km) SSW of the Mojave Desert.
